I made this with ArtRage. See the layers below!

We can use layers for some tricky arts. I use layers to make a background and it won't be blended with upcoming brush. One more trick, you will see your drawing is not good enough when you use brush tool, but finish it with pallet knife to make it tidier. As you can see the green box I clicked above.
